 Brenda Perry
Labourer
Brenda Perry is a unique fixture
at MacLean Construction. A female labourer who is obviously
capable of lugging loads of scaffolding to and from job sites
and dishing out her fair share of guff, she is still very much a
lady and retains her infectious sense of humour. Brenda loves
her job, and is the only woman MacLean’s has in the field. She
was originally hired as a part-time employee, but her value was
quickly recognized and she soon became full-time. Says Mike,
“She is never one to shy away from hard work”, a view shared by
everyone, from the men on site to the office employees. She is
known to everyone as good-natured with a great sense of humor
and a lot of fun to work with. She’s the kind of person who is
quick to see the humor in a situation, and is keen to share her
experiences driving MacLean’s signature yellow trucks around
town and being the recipient of many curious double takes from
other drivers, especially when her load is a big towering load
of garbage. Brenda has an obvious soft spot for Keith MacLean.
She respects the opportunity she was given and speaks with
admiration of the man who gave her a chance and who shares her
Nascar obsession.
